They operate within Greater Manchester, as well as locations worldwide and aim to improve energy efficiency.Your new roleAn exciting new role has arisen as a CAD Technician, where you will be responsible for producing drawings and documents at the request of the design engineers and design engineering manager, where it is required that you maintain drawings standards and update them as appropriate, as well as also giving support to the sales and projects departments.You will be assigned with the following:    Preparation of design layout drawings, single line diagrams, schematics and detail drawings at the request of the project Design Engineers;    Updating design documents in accordance with design procedures regarding revision numbering and document control;    Producing and maintaining the library of standard objects and symbols;    Maintaining the library of technical documents from suppliers;    Deputising for the Document Controller;    Liaising with clients and suppliers to maintain the timely flow of information;    Communicating with other departments and clients on multi-discipline projects;    Conducting site visits for design progress and updating as built drawings;What you'll need to succeed    The minimum qualification(s) of BTEC HND/ HNC in CAD, Engineering or Construction related discipline    Minimum 2 years’ experience using AutoCAD 2D & 3D within a construction or engineering background.    Knowledge of/ ability to work within the CDM regulations, current HSE legislation and ISO quality standards.    Effective IT skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Office Packages.    Able to work efficiently & accurately.
