Robert Half is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a desire to join a reputable company in the Manufacturing industry. Your talents will be used to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, build budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and handle internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. To be successful, candidates need to be highly adept at analytics and working in challenging, fast-paced environments. This Senior Accountant role is located in Fort Lee, New Jersey within the Manufacturing field. Great compensation, benefits, and chances for advancement are all part of the package. What you get to do every single day - Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP - Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner - Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors - Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary - Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes - Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary - Engage in various department-wide initiatives - Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment   - Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills   - Command of Microsoft Excel   - Microsoft Excel experience   - Self-starter and strong ethical standards   - Must have excellent time management skills   - Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus   - Proficient in ERP systems   - SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience   - Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued   - Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines   - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred   - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired   - 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
