Established building contractor looking to expand their QS divisionThis established building contractor has supplied quality building contracting services throughout the UK for over 37 years. With construction services comprising of the delivery of refurbishment, fit out and new builds working in various industrial, commercial, education and restoration sectors for their Blue Chip client base.They are now looking to expand their QS division by bringing in an assistant Quantity Surveyor to work alongside their experienced management team.Some of the duties once up and running in the role would include: Day to day liaison with site operatives, sub-contractors and suppliers. Close liaison with management and administrative staff. Detailed review of tender documentation, specifications and contract documentation. Attend site visit to review, measure and cost tendered works and site variations. Resolve questions from sub-contractors and client surveyors in regards to queries. Negotiation and placement of sub-contractor purchase orders based on cost, quality and availability. Management of sub-contractor responsibilities alongside contracts managers and site managers. Undertaking monthly review and management of sub-contractor valuation and accounts. Attending site progress and design team meetings. Producing tender returns, qualification letters and resolution of post tender queries. General administrative tasks such as emails, phone calls and day to day tasks.
