Privately owned, fast paced company in Banbury seeks qualified accountant to join them as Financial Controller Your new company Our client is a £60 million t/o, privately owned engineering group. Your new role The Financial Controller will report to the Finance Director and oversee a team of 4-5 Finance Managers and Management Accountants taking responsibility for the consolidation of monthly financials, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. You will produce the Board pack along with reports for Exec team plus commentary and lead annual Audit from preparation through to signed Statutory Accounts. Preparation of tax packs at Year End, as well as R&D Tax Relief Reporting, overseeing the monthly and quarterly VAT returns and coordination and management of the annual insurance renewal pack will all be part of the role. You will also have some company secretarial duties and engage with senior staff across the business to drive best practice. Continuous improvement projects & process development across business is a key element of this role. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will be qualified accountant with robust management accounts experience and solid technical exposure. You will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a can do approach.
