Seeking an Assistant Estates Project Manager to join the University of Winchester.The University of Winchester are seeking an Estates Project Manager / Building Surveyor to join our in-house Projects and Estates Management team. Our in-house Projects and Estates Management team play an important role across the University campus. We are responsible for providing an effective estate management service including the delivery of capital projects, backlog maintenance, improving facilities and portfolio performance monitoring. Due to on-going workloads and a pipeline of projects, the team are now seeking an Estates Project Manager or Building Surveyor to join the team on a permanent basis. The RoleAs the Assistant Estates Project Manager, you will be responsible for the client-side delivery of construction projects and addressing maintenance/building issues. This will include working with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally, to achieve objectives, whilst ensuring internal customer’s needs are clearly defined and met. The projects delivered will be diverse, including small to medium sized construction projects and minor works, across facilities such as general and specialist academic spaces, laboratories, student residences, offices, and catering/commercial spaces. You will also assist the Head of PEM and the Project Managers with larger or more complex packages of works. Key Responsibilities – Manage and/or assist with projects and work packages from inception through to occupation.Oversee feasibility studies, new construction, extensions, refurbishments, fit out, infrastructure/building services and addressing compliance related matters or maintenance issues.Procurement and management of project teams, to include internal stakeholders, multi-disciplinary design/consultant teams as well as contractors.Produce design and works specifications for estates related projects and works requirements.Provide robust progress updates, budget reports and programmes.Ensure appropriate health and safety practices and legislation is adhered to for on-site works. What You'll NeedTo succeed within the role, you will need: Degree educated within a relevant discipline such as, Construction Project ManagementDesirably, hold a professional membership i.e RICS/CIOB/APMExperience as a Construction Project Manager / Building SurveyorProven experience in delivering a wide range of construction projects, preferably from within a client-side or consultancy environment.
