If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.Major responsibilities- Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations- Employee relations, involving engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations- Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections- Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department- Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)- Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews- Draft templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook- Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors- Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters- Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees- Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite- Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and proceduresRequirements- Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity- Prior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus- Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms- B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis- Experience with full cycle recruiting- Excellent written and verbal business skills- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects- Strong understanding local, state and federal laws- We need someone who is highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivityGive us a call today if you possess the right experience and skills for this exciting position with an immediate start date!
