An IT Technician Job in a family owned, nationally renowned meat producer Your new companyMy client is a nationally renowned meat producer that supplies many of the top supermarkets and restaurant chains in the UK and Ireland. Being a family run business, they prioritise the welfare of their staff, and not the profits of their stakeholders. You will be joining the IT team at an exciting time where they are developing their internal systems, and you will have the opportunity to interact with cutting edge technology in a newly created role. Your new roleYou will be responsible for the first and second level support for all the standard IT hardware and software at the warehouse. You will be responsible for the effective diagnostic evaluation of end-user needs and then responding to and resolving each issue or complaint to the end user’s satisfaction. To do this you will have to identify, research, and resolve technical problems with a timely response to telephone calls, email, IT service desk and face to face requests for technical support, logging them effectively for your other team members. You will also be tasked with recommending means for product or system improvements including creating written procedural steps, new training programs, and enhanced documentation.
