Waking Night Care Assistant - Colchester - Part time or full time permanent contracts available!Your new companyA beautiful residential home who provide care and support to elderly individuals, some which have dementia, is looking for both full time and part time carers to join their nights team!Your new roleThis role is a Waking Night Care Assistant. Shift patterns begin at 7:30pm and finish at 8am. You will be entitled to a 1 hour break during your shift. During your shift, you will be responsible for assisting the residents with their bedtime and morning routines. This will involve personal care, promoting independence and emotional support. You will be responsible for building trust and companionship with residents in order to make them feel safe and comfortable.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful for this role, you must be living local to Colchester and ideally have a driving licence. Due to the location of this service, it is difficult to rely on public transport.This role is working Waking Nights therefore you must feel confident working nights and ideally have worked them before.As this role is working with vulnerable individuals, ideally you will have experience working within the Social Care sector. However we would consider applicants that are keen and passionate about getting into the care industry and those that have qualifications in the sector.Please note that we can not accept overseas workers for this position.
